With such strain on your stomach and your digestive system as a whole, symptoms of the condition just may be triggered easily. But then again, it is quite hard to eliminate fat from your diet in one single move. So, just try to go for foods that have fat content pegged at below 25%. This way, you won’t have that much difficulty during your transition period.

 

Another thing to avoid is the beverage known as coffee. Now, this includes decaf, so you should still scratch that off your diet plan. Both regular and decaf coffees contain enzymes that can very much irritate your digestive system. Thus, it would be better to just avoid drinking coffee altogether. Alcohol is definitely another beverage to avoid. Alcoholic beverages contain irritants that can be very harmful on your digestive system, especially when you are already afflicted with IBS.

 

Of course, there is also a positive relationship between foods & irritable bowel syndrome. Foods with high fiber content are very much helpful in dealing with the condition. Go for the leafy greens and citrus fruits! A healthy lifestyle is indeed needed when you are dealing with IBS.
